The City is seeking applications from groups, clubs and organisations wanting to strengthen community connections, celebrate significant dates and showcase our unique local area.
Funding of up to $5,000 is available to eligible community groups and not-for-profit organisations to delivery community-led projects and activities. We encourage applicants to consider how these are linked to the impacts of COVID-19.
Applicants need to consider how their project or event will bring people together; including participation of disadvantaged or vulnerable community members, different ages, cultures and abilities. Visit our Events Access and Inclusion page for further information:
If you have an idea the City may be able to support through funding, here are some steps you need to complete before submitting an application:
Send an email with your ideas and questions about eligibility to our City Community Development team at email@example.com or phone 9405 5600.
Resolve all outstanding debt or acquittals with the City. Although you can still submit an application, the City is unable to release further funds until these items are finalised.
Call 9405 5000 to obtain a City facility hire quote or make a tentative booking. We are unable to accept your application without this.
FOR EVENTS ONLY: Submit a Public Community Event application 10 weeks prior to your event and a full Public Event Application 8 weeks prior to your event. We are unable to accept your Community Funding application without a Public Event Application submission reference number.
