Community Funding

Flagship Fund

The City is currently taking applications for the next round of Flagship Funding. Flagship Funding initiatives should be larger scale events that celebrate and/or commemorate the City’s rich history and diverse culture. Funding of up to $10,000 per year over a three-year period (maximum $30,000 over three-years) is available for a wide range of initiatives that address themes of cultural, historical, and commemorative importance.

Flagship Funding is for established and experienced not-for-profit community groups and organisations delivering community initiatives that recognise, celebrate and/or commemorate the City’s rich history and diverse culture.

Funding of up to $10,000 per year over a three-year period (maximum $30,000 over three-years) is available for a wide range of initiatives that address themes of cultural, historical, and commemorative importance.  Initiatives are delivered multiple times over a three-year period (e.g., once each year) across the City.

Flagship Funding applications are open from 21 February to 30 March 2024.

Community Funding Guidelines and Application Package

What are some examples of eligible activities?

  • An initiative celebrating and/or acknowledging significant days/weeks, for example Australia Day, Remembrance Day, ANZAC Day, NAIDOC Week
  • Cultural celebrations with strong connections to the City of Wanneroo
  • Initiatives which bring people together, such as Christmas events.

Considering applying?

  1. Read through the Community Funding Guidelines and Application Package. A strong application will reflect that the guidelines have been read and understood
  2. Contact the City of Wanneroo Community Development team on (08) 9405 5600 or via email communityfunding@wanneroo.wa.gov.au to register your interest and receive a link to apply for Flagship Funding. You will be able to discuss your proposed project, confirm project eligibility and be provided with guidance on how to submit a high-quality application.
  3. Register for an online account on the City’s Online Funding Portal. If you have not applied for funding through our online portal previously, you will be required to register as a user and then also register your organisation/group prior to proceeding with the application.
