City of Wanneroo Art Awards winners 2015
$16,800 worth of prizes were awarded at the 14th annual City of Wanneroo Art Awards. The Opening Night on Friday 15 May was attended by 400 patrons to the accompaniment of the James Flynn Trio. Of the 216 artworks on display, 150 were paintings, 47 works on paper and a record breaking 19 were sculptures. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who displayed their artwork in the exhibition. A sculpture was selected as the overall acquisitive prize winner. Jamie Worsley's
Astuera, is a work in glass (blown and cold worked), which is an intriguing and aesthetically pleasing piece. A great addition to the City's Art Collection. On the first Saturday 100 people visited the exhibition. The Art Awards is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday until 13 June.
