School holiday program - September/October 2021

Appropriate social distancing, hygiene and parent/guardian contact details are required to participate.

Proof of Age: all bookings must ensure that the correct birthdate for each child is entered, and must upload appropriate proof of age document for each child to confirm a booking (see below). You will not be able to proceed with booking until this step is finalised.

Accepted proof of age documents include: birth certificate/extract, school registration, passport, student card etc.

There is the option to upload proof of age to the online application or you can email it to youth.services@wanneroo.wa.gov.au

Write your own Story Competition - ages 5 to 15 years

Cost: FREE 

Calling all young authors, we are celebrating animals these school holidays!

Tell us a story about your pet, a pet you wish you had or a favourite animal and go into the running for a prize!

Come and pick up your book template from Clarkson or Yanchep/Two Rocks Library and start writing, and if you're stuck for ideas or inspiration, check out the displays, programs and resources available at the library.

Happy Birthday Play School - EXHIBITION EXTENDED! - all ages

Celebrating 50 Years of Play School!

Come inside and find all your favourite Play School characters in an exhibition that brings childhood stories alive! A National Museum of Australia travelling exhibition developed in collaboration with the ABC.

Kingsway School Holiday Program - ages 18months to 16 years

Sports stars of the future can enjoy fun filled drills and games with some amazing coaches. It is a great way to try a new sport or improve on your skills! The Stadium provides a wide variety of camps and clinics for children aged 18 months to 12 years old that will help beat the school holiday boredom.

Stitch and weave your way through the Wanneroo Museum these October school holidays and learn all about traditional arts and crafts from the past.

Look at how wood, fabric and even beeswax can be created into works of art and hear the stories about the skilled craftspeople from both past and present. Explore the museum with our popular clue hunt activity. Try out some of our hands on activities and make your very own craft to take home.

There's plenty of fun for the whole family.

Come and visit our Youth Centres at Wanneroo, Clarkson and Yanchep these school holidats for some drop in style activites!  We will also be visiting parks and skate parks in the southern suburbs!

Italian Cooking - ages 9 to 11 years

The purpose of this program is to engage young people in learning life skills, such as cooking, whilst giving young people that opportunity to make new friendships and work together in an educational safe environment.

Learn about the world's oldest animal charity and all about caring for animals.

The session aims to teach children 5 and over safety around animals with an emphasis on dogs, raise awareness about animal welfare issues in the community, and promote empathy towards animals by introducing the Five Freedoms.

Einsteins Australia presents a fun interactive workshop for children. Participants will find out the facts about some of the fascinating creatures in the Australian landscape and create a creepy creature to take home.

The purpose of this activity is to create a youth-friendly evironment to assist in improving relationships between the local young people and the City's youth team, Rangers and the local Police.

Parents and careers will get an opportunity to meet the City Youth services staff and learn about how the youth centre runs and how it can help their children.
