School holiday program - July 2021

School holiday banner

Appropriate social distancing, hygiene and parent/guardian contact details are required to participate.

Proof of Age: all bookings must ensure that the correct birthdate for each child is entered, and must upload appropriate proof of age document for each child to confirm a booking (see below). You will not be able to proceed with booking until this step is finalised.

Accepted proof of age documents include: birth certificate/extract, school registration, passport, student card etc.

There is the option to upload proof of age to the online application or you can email it to youth.services@wanneroo.wa.gov.au

Happy Birthday Play School! - all ages

Celebrating 50 Years of Play School!

Come inside and find all your favourite Play School characters in an exhibition that brings childhood stories alive! A National Museum of Australia travelling exhibition developed in collaboration with the ABC.

There are Stories to Tell - Discovery Table - ages 4 years and over

Enjoy a classic picture book and bring the story to life at the discovery table.

Share stories and use fun props to tell the story and bring it to life. It's a fabulous way to explore and story and support a love of reading.

Kingsway School Holiday Program - ages 18months to 16 years

Sports stars of the future can enjoy fun filled drills and games with some amazing coaches. It is a great way to try a new sport or improve on your skills! The Stadium provides a wide variety of camps and clinics for children aged 18 months to 12 years old that will help beat the school holiday boredom.

NAIDOC Week Cooking Workshop - ages 12 to 18 years

Cooking ingredients

When: Monday 5 July // 10am - 2pm
Where: Pearsall Hocking Community Centre, 125 Willespie Drive, Pearsall
Cost: $13

Learn traditional flavours that inspire native cooking.

Lunch provided which will be inspired by traditional Indigenous flavours and ingredients to create delicious favourites.

Drop-In Games Fun - ages 5 years and over

All sorts of games are available to try these holidays. Choose from giant games and tabletop favourites and join the games competition.

NAIDOC Week Art Masterclass with Aboriginal Artists - ages 9 to 11 years

Don't miss out on an exciting Masterclass with Rhys

Perth Artist Rhys Paddick will be teaching you all about traditional Aboriginal art and the stories they tell. Explore the techniques and symbols and create your own inspired art piece!

Artist Miriam Gardiner will present a fun workshop trying out watercolour techniques. 

Participants will be inspired to create their own insect artwork to explore the theme "Heal Country" to celebrate NAIDOC Week.  Please dress for mess.

Teddy Bear's Picnic and Storytime - ages 3 to 6 years

Bring your favourite teddy for a special picnic and storytime with a craft activity and snacks.

Have fun at this teddy bear storytime with a picnic and crafts. Your teddy is invited to have a sleepover at the library.   Pick them up the next day to find out what fun they had overnight.

Youth Sports Winter Edition - ages 9-11 years

Come along and bring lots of energy to our Winter Sports day to test out your skills in games of Floor Hockey and Ultimate Frisbee with drills and competition. Bring your own lunch, snacks provided. Please wear enclosed shoes.

Collaborating with Nature art workshop - ages 9 to 11 years
