Bouah Kardio, President of the Association of the Liberian Community of Australia in Western Australia said the funding meant a lot to the Liberian community.

“This event helps us to socialise with fellow Liberian and the wider Australian communities. We showcase our beautiful African attires, culture and dishes. We also engage with service providers by building professional relationships that allow our community members to collect information about services in their community in the City of Wanneroo.

“On behalf of my community, we're very grateful for the amazing opportunity that our funding application has been approved.”

Council has adopted a revised Community Funding Program that includes a range of new funding categories that will be available for application at various points throughout the 2020/21 financial year.
