Have your say on the City’s waste services

The City is undertaking a review of its current waste services and researching other possible waste management options that are both cost effective for residents, and will reduce landfill.

These options apply to:

• domestic waste
• recycling
• bulk junk
• bulk greens
• illegal dumping and litter collection
• waste at parks, bus stops and community facilities, and
• the Wangara Greens Recycling Facility.

Mayor Tracey Roberts encouraged all residents to take part in the survey and have their say.

“The City of Wanneroo is committed to a sustainable and economical approach to waste management,” Mayor Roberts said.

“This is an issue that affects every person in the community, both now and long into the future, so it is essential that we have our community’s backing and support for waste management options.

“Feedback from the survey will form part of the recommendations that will be presented to Council.”

Staff from the City’s Waste Services team will be available to discuss the survey at the Yanchep Community Centre on Thursday 10 May from 9am to 12pm and at Girrawheen Hub on Thursday 17 May from 2pm to 5pm.
