Do the Housework Hustle! - school children of all ages

Get hands on at Wanneroo Regional Museum this July school holidays where kids get to roll up their sleeves and discover what life was like before dishwashers, microwaves and talking fridges! From churning butter to hand-washing clothes, our old-fashioned farm chores and housework activities offer hands-on fun with a side of history. NAIDOC WEEK! - Nyungar Culture with artist Justin Martin - ages 10 to 12
When: Tuesday 8 July 2025 // 12pm to 2pm
Where: Yanchep Community Centre, 7 Lagoon Dr, Yanchep
Cost: FREE - booking required
The City's Youth Centre's will host Nyungar artist Justin Martin from Djurandi Dreaming!
These sessions will involve fun, hands-on art sessions where young people will learn about Nyungar symbols, stories, and traditional colours used in Aboriginal art. Each participant will create their own boomerang to take home, inspired by Dreamtime stories and Nyungar culture.
Six Seasons Storytime with Ebony Froome - ages 5 to 9
When: Tuesday 8 July and Tuesday 15 July 2025 // 10:30am to 11:15am
Where: Tuesday 8 July at Clarkson Library, Tuesday 15 July at Wanneroo Library
Cost: FREE - booking essential
Celebrate NAIDOC Week by learning about the 6 Noongar seasons with Noongar Author Ebony Froome. The 45 minute session will include a book reading of Ebony's work; Djinang Bonar: Seeing Seasons and a lesson on the Noongar seasons and elements of Noongar language. Four lucky attendees will win their own signed copy of the book.

Think you’ve got what it takes to be the next baking boss? Bake Boss Yanchep is your chance to level up your cake decorating skills in a fun, hands-on workshop just for young people. Learn cool decorating techniques from a pro, hear how our facilitator Carli from Baking Club turned their passion into a business, picking up tips on how you could do the same. You’ll walk away with new skills, some serious inspo, and a certificate to boost your resume. Whether you’re into baking for fun or dreaming of your own hustle — this is for you!

GO FIT YOURSELF - Fitness Session - ages 12 to 17

Level Up - Food Handling Skill Set - ages 14 to 24
When: Thursday 17 July 2025 // 10am to 2pm
Where: Clarkson Youth Hub, 59 Key Largo Dr, Clarkson
Cost: $40 - Booking required - limited spaces available!
This workshop allows you to achieve a nationally accredited qualification of SITSS00068 Food handler skill set. Master the essentials of safe food handling and get a head start in your career. This course not only equips you with vital skills but also opens up employment opportunities within the hospitality, retail, and catering sectors, where food safety is paramount.
- Approximately 4 hours with a combination of theory and practical skills.
- Course completion results in a Statement of Attainment for the following skill set SITSS00068 including the unit SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety
- In accordance with the new Mandated Requirements of the FSANZ Standard 3.2.2A
