No Place Like Home at Wanneroo Museum - all ages

Discover the fascinating stories of people who have travelled from all over the world to make Wanneroo their home at the Wanneroo Museum this summer school holidays. With free hands-on activities, a soundtrack of songs from around the world and an exciting new clue hunt. Come along, play and explore! 

Summer Reading Club A Roomful of Stories - all ages

Drop in sessions at all libraries from Thursday 2 January to Friday 31 January

Who needs a passport these holidays?  Go on a story adventure at your library, your very own roomful of stories. Collect some fabulous giveaways and try out a different activity each week.  

  • Week One - Chapter One
    Help build your own reading city with boxes and recycled materials.
  • Week Two – Chapter Two
    Go on a bear hunt through the library and join in a special story time.
  • Week Three - Chapter Three
    Get inspired at the discovery table.
  • Week Four – Chapter Four
    Boost your reading hours by watching  Stories on Storybox on the big screen.

This summer the whole family is invited to join the club.  Pick up a reading record and activity book and make your life better by getting involved in a Roomful of Stories.

3v3 Hotshot basketball competition - ages 12 to 18

Sign up your squad of 3 and bring your best game for our 3v3 Basketball competition. Our professional Kingsway coaches will be our referees with prizes awarded to the top 3 teams.

Virtual Reality at the Library - ages 8+

Experience a whole new world at the library this summer. Wearing the wireless virtual reality headset, you can explore a shipwreck and sea creatures underwater, or concoct magic potions in a wizard’s cauldron.

Bring you best design skills and create some delicious works of art that are good enough to eat. Lunch will be provided.

First Aid and Giant Survival Day - ages 12 to 17

Cost: $5

Learn the lifesaving skills you need to be tested in the First Aid Survival.

A facilitator from St Johns Ambulance will be there to teach you some basic First Aid skills which will prepare you for the second annual Giant First Aid Survival Game. This requires team work and things could get messy!

Crystal Caves Walk - ages 13 to 18 - FULLY BOOKED

Enjoy the wonderful world of nature right on your doorstep at Yanchep National Park, complete with a guided tour of the fabulous Crystal cave and a BBQ lunch.

You don’t have to know how to swim to be part of this underwater adventure. Discover the marine life that inhabit our coastline, then be part of caring for their homes by helping clean up their coastal environment.
