Information

Proposed Tourist Development & Restaurant/Cafe at 2 Quinns Road, Mindarie (DA2024/297)

Advertising for this proposal is being undertaken by the City on behalf of the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) who are the determining authority.

The application sits on the site of the former Quinns Rocks Caravan Park and proposes a ‘Tourist Development’ providing short-term accommodation for guests through the provision of thirty-nine (39) tent structures which have been strategically placed to ensure retention of existing vegetation whilst maximising coastal views. The accommodation will be managed through a centralised reception building.

The application also includes a Restaurant/Café component including function and dining spaces which will be open to guests and the public for use. The Restaurant/Café will look out over a large communal lawn area which will also be available for public use and includes access from the existing beach footpath into the site.

A total of 83 additional parking bays are proposed within the site to accommodate the application.
