Yanchep - Proposed Child Care Centre at the corner of Castlemead Drive and Spinnaker Boulevard (DA2020/1965)

Proposed Child Care Centre at the corner of Castlemead Drive and Spinnaker Boulevard, Yanchep - DA2020/1965 (91 Ariane View & 5-13 Castlemead Drive, Yanchep) 

The above-mentioned development application is currently being advertised for public comment until 10 February 2021.

The application proposes a single storey Child Care Centre and incorporates the following:

  • Maximum of 94 children and 17 staff at any one time;
  • Operating hours of 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays;
  • Two access points to the carpark via Castlemead Drive;
  • 33 parking bays, including one ACROD bay; and
  • Removal of the existing Vertex Estate Sales Office on Lot 9008 Ariane View (corner of Spinnaker Boulevard and Castlemead Drive).

The applicant has also lodged a subdivision application with the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) to amalgamate the lots subject to this proposal. The WAPC are responsible for determining all subdivision applications within Western Australia, however the City will provide a recommendation on the proposal in due course.
