Education and outreach

Children at heritage houses and the museum

We offer hands on, inquiry-based education programs at the Wanneroo Regional Museum and historic houses venues. All programs are aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. Pre and post-visit resources are also available for each program to enhance your students' visiting experience.

Everyone is included

We are striving to make our museums as inclusive as possible to ensure all visitors have an enriching experience at our sites. We have a range of sensory accommodations available for visitors of all ages. Visiting stories and vocabulary lists can be sent ahead of the excursion to prepare and reassure students.

If you have a group who would prefer a self-led activity in a more relaxed environment, please email museum@wanneroo.wa.gov.au to arrange a suitable time.

Outreach resources: museums in a box

Enhance your teaching of history by using real-life objects and resources found in our museums in a box. These kits have different themes and are a highly tactile way of investigating continuity and change through objects.
