Colouring Club

When: Mondays // 11am to 12pm (during school terms)
Where: Wanneroo Regional Museum, Wanneroo Library & Cultural Centre, 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo
Cost: Free, drop-in, no bookings required.

There are no age limits on having fun while colouring in – and while our Colouring Club is aimed at adults, all ages are welcome to join in. Come along to the Wanneroo Regional Museum’s free weekly Colouring Club running each Monday during school term between 11am-12pm. You can use the materials provided or bring your own to these casual drop-in sessions.

Monthly Noongar story time a chance to learn about culture

Cultural educator Rickeeta Walley

When: Monthly from 12pm on Thursdays starting 13 July, then Thursday 10 August, Thursday 7 September, Thursday 12 October and Thursday 9 November
Where: Wanneroo Regional Museum, Wanneroo Library & Cultural Centre, 3 Rocca Way, Wanneroo
Cost: Free, no bookings required.

Enjoy an interactive Noongar Storytelling session each month from 13 July to 9 November by renowned cultural educator Rickeeta ‘Ricki’ Walley.

Be introduced to the Noongar language, culture and Dreaming stories, and have fun learning through game playing and movement during Ricki’s story time sessions that appeal to young children and their families.

Pop it in your diary and enjoy something new each month!

It's All About the Past

Cost: Free, drop in, no bookings required.

Come join in the fun at Wanneroo Museum! Carers and the important little people in your life can explore the past together through games, stories, crafts and real artefacts. 

Activities are self-led with staff on hand to provide ideas on how to enjoy your time at the museum. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years attending with their carers.

Not able to make Wednesday? The themed activities are available throughout the week so pop in anytime to join in the fun. No need to book and free to attend! 

Sundays at Buckingham House and the Old Wanneroo Schoolhouse

When: Sundays during autumn and spring from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Closed public holidays.

Don’t miss this opportunity to step back in time at Buckingham House in Wanneroo. Now open on Sunday mornings during autumn and spring, this home gives a fascinating insight into life in early Wanneroo.

You can also visit the old Wanneroo Schoolhouse for a taste of school life from times past.

Sundays at Cockman House

The City of Wanneroo’s oldest remaining residence, Cockman House, opens its doors to heritage loving visitors on Sunday afternoons in autumn and spring. Built by James Cockman and completed in 1860, Cockman House holds a special place in Wanneroo’s rich history as the home of one of its earliest settler families.

Visitors can pack a picnic to enjoy on the beautiful grounds and play some old fashioned games including quoits and skittles. No visit would be complete without a tour of the historic building to gain a fascinating insight into the lives of the pioneering Cockman family.
