How to pay your rates

Detach slip on Rates Notice and make cheque payable to:
CITY OF WANNEROO, Locked Bag 1, Wanneroo WA 6946
Retain the top portion of notice as your record.
Note: No receipt will be issued.

Rates Payment In Person In person
Pay at any Australia Post Office. EFTPOS, cash and cheque only.
  • Civic Centre, 23 Dundebar Road, Wanneroo
    Mon-Fri // 8:30am to 5pm, or
  • Clarkson Library, 27 Ocean Keys Bvd, Clarkson
    Mon-Fri // 9am to noon and 12:45 to 5pm

Note: Payments made by telephone, internet, on a weekend or public holiday, or after 6pm Sydney time on a bank business day will not be processed until the following bank business day. Credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 0.38%.

Payment arrangements

If you are unable to pay your rates in full or by instalments you can apply for a payment arrangement. Payments can be made on an agreed weekly, fortnightly, monthly or monthly basis. 

All payment arrangements are subject to interest.

Financial Hardship Assistance 

The City has a Financial Hardship Policy to help customers experiencing severe financial distress.

Check the eligibility criteria and complete the Hardship Assistance application form.

Pensioner/seniors rebate information

To receive a concession, a person must hold one or more of the appropriate Pensioner or Seniors cards and, on 1 July of the financial year, own and occupy residential property as their ordinary place of residence. The Government of Western Australia provides a rebate to persons who meet the eligibility criteria set out under the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992.

The following concessions are available to holders of a:

WA Seniors Card (SC)

  • Entitled to receive up to a 25% rebate on your local government rates and emergency services levy.
  • The rebate will be limited to a maximum amount.
  • The deferment option is not available.

WA Seniors Card (SC) AND a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC)

  • Entitled to receive up to a 50% rebate on your local government rates and emergency services levy.
  • The rebate will be limited to a maximum (capped) amount which is reviewed annually. 
  • May be entitled to defer your local government rates and emergency services levy.

Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) OR State Concession Card (SCC)

  • Entitled to receive up to a 50% rebate on your local government rates and emergency services levy.
  • The rebate will be limited to a maximum (capped) amount which is reviewed annually.
  • May be entitled to defer your local government rates and emergency services levy.
