JP Signing

The City of Wanneroo have a JP signing service available all year at the Wanneroo Library & Cultural Centre, Rocca Way, Wanneroo on Wednesdays between 9:00am and 12:00pm.

Clarkson Library also has a JP signing available every Thursday between 6:00pm and 7:30pm and Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Western Australia Seniors Card

With a Western Australia (WA) Seniors Card, you can access lots of discount offers including subsidised public transport and other government concessions.

To be eligible for the WA Seniors Card program, you need to be:

  • Aged 63 years or above
  • An Australian Citizen or hold an Australian Permanent Resident Visa
  • Reside in Western Australia
  • Work less than 25 hours per week.

The At Home Guide for Seniors

The Council on the Ageing (COTA) Western Australia has developed the 'At Home Guide' to support older Western Australians to live well. The Guide gathers together information on health, day-to-day living, nutrition, accessing government services and finances, as well as a compendium of important telephone numbers.

Financial Counselling

Anyone can contact the the Financial Counselling Helpline, 1800 007 007, this is a free confidential service for all Western Australians with financial issues. It provides information, strategies and guidance to assist those experiencing financial difficulties.

Seniors Rates Rebate

To receive a concession a person must hold one or more of the appropriate Pensioner or Seniors cards and, on 1 July of the financial year, own and occupy residential property as their ordinary place of residence.

Tech Savvy Seniors

Tech Savvy Seniors is a new initiative by the Seniors Recreation Council of WA Inc, which aims to gently introduce Seniors to the benefits of modern technology. In a world where computers and electronic devices are an integral part of our society and how we stay connected, this free introduction to technology course will cover topics such as:

  • Internet Use – Email, Browsers, Security and Scams
  • Facebook introduction – How we can connect with our families and friends
  • Skype Introduction – How to make free local and international video calls
  • Digital Camera – What to do with all those pictures, saving and sharing them

Act Belong Commit

Act Belong Commit (ABC) is a health promotion campaign that encourages individuals to take action to protect and promote their mental wellbeing by focusing on three key elements.   

The ABC message for positive mental health provides a simple approach that anyone can adopt to become more mentally healthy.
