Response and Recovery Fund

The City is taking applications for the Community Response and Recovery Fund to support initiatives that support communities to recover following the Mariginiup Bushfires.

The City invites residents, community groups, local non-profit organisations, sporting clubs and groups to lead the coordination and delivery of a community-led initiatives to be held during the 2024/2025 financial year in the City of Wanneroo. Through this fund, applicants can apply for up to $5,000.

The fund will support and empower community-led initiatives for recovery and resilience. Eligible initiatives that address community connection and resilience will demonstrate one or more of the following outcomes of this grant:

  • Build and strengthen community awareness and resilience.
  • Social cohesion and connection
  • Enhance physical, mental, and social wellbeing.
  • Inclusivity of all community members (e.g., cultural connection); and
  • Innovative services and programs.

To qualify for funding, applicants must: 

  • Live, operate or deliver the activity within the City of Wanneroo
  • Assist with the recovery of the local community impacted by the Mariginiup Bushfires
  • Address and achieve one of the outcomes stated in the Response and Recovery Fund and enable delivery of an initiative or service
  • Be free for all City of Wanneroo residents.
