Public Community Event - First Aid
Adequate first aid facilities are to be provided at the event. In accordance with the Department of Health Safe Event Guidelines the minimum first aid provisions are as follows:
- 2 first aid posts
- 4 paramedics (two at each post)
- 1 ambulance in attendance at the event
- Other staff as determined in the event specific First Aid Plan.
First Aid is required at all events, and a medical plan may be required depending on the scale of the event. It is important that any first aid post have appropriate signage.

The first aid facilities for events with over 10,000 patrons will be determined by the Manager Health Services in consultation with the Event Organiser and First Aid Provider.
